Re: Report of Strange Object Striking Clan
Lake Dist. N.W.T. (YELLOWKNIFE DET, CASE)
Further to our telephone conversation of the 15thΒ instant (Kelly-Dilworth), I am attaching hereto a copy ofΒ two reports submitted from Yellowknife Detachment.
As statedΒ in our conversation this would appear to be a matter more inΒ keeping with the interests of the Royal Canadian Air ForceΒ than that of the R.C.M.P. We would appreciate learning fromΒ you as to any plans that might be developed with a view toΒ you pursuing this matter in the Yellowknife area with a viewΒ to locating the object referred to. We are quite impressedΒ with the original information given in the statement of the informant Β Mr. REDACTED. There does not appear to be any reasonΒ to think that this information is the result of any imaginationΒ on the part of the informant but it sounds on the face of it
11ke a clear statement of what actually happened.
2.
A description of the object is very interesting andΒ the whole matter seems worthy of the attention of someoneΒ such as the R.C.A.F. who are no doubt better able, from the
point of view of equipment, to handle this matter.
3.
We would appreciate the result of your deliberationΒ and are quite prepared to have our Yellowknife Detachment personnel co-operate with you in every way.

Assistant Director,
Security and Intelligence.
